How to connect to Fabric data from Excel

Hi Team,

In the above snap, if i click on dataset in fabric there is an option to analyze in execl so that i can able to analyze data in excel 

 

so in the same way I need to connect to fabric data from Excel. i mean, in excel i will go to data source and need to pull data from fabric. is there any way, please let me know.

In case anyone else found this old question. This method works for me....

  • open excel
  • login/confirm work account
  • open new sheet
  • Choose Get Data from Ribbon
    • Choose From Database
    • Choose From SQL Server
  • enter your ms fabric connection string
  • add details
  • Profit

We have some security sign-ins that we must complete prior to working w/ data. For example, if we use SSMS we have to use a specific authentication. I'm not aware if I have installed special connectors- I don't recall doing so.

As far as I know right now it is not possible. I think it might be coming in the future.
