we have a source and that is moving to another server, so we have to change connection string for lot of datasets and dataflows. I know two options:
1. download file locally and change source.
2. Use XMLA write option (limitation is that we can not download file after that)
3. Using API (is there any limitation of this?)
Is there any other way to do it?
what is way to change source for dataflow apart from editing it in service?
I think these are plenty of options. Use whichever of these is most convenient for you. Always have a copy/backup of your Power Query scripts, ideally in Github.
@lbendlin by any chance do you know any limitation of Using API for changing source.
please be more specific. What have you tried and where are you stuck?
