How to Share my PBI through PPT? With it not being on a cloud but published to a webpage

Hi,

My team currently published our dashboards to our company webpage. However, we just built a dashboard that is used by our customers and will need to receive it on a weekly basis. However, they cannot access our webpage for security reasons and we need to find a way for them to access the dashboard. My company doesnt allow us to use the cloud. Is there a way to add it to a powerpoint or something like a live powerbi that isnt on the cloud?

Any ideas are appreciated!

Kind regards,
Libby

Hi @Libbyb23,

Are the customers B2B guests in your tenant?

If so, you could subscribe to the report and use the attach full report option (it has powerpoint as an format):

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/end-user-subscribe?tabs=creator#subscri...

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/end-user-subscribe?tabs=creator#subscri...

Alternatively, you could sent the same attachment to a internal mailbox/user and use a Power Automate cloud flow to forward/sent the received subscription e-mail (including pptx attachment) to the right people instead.

They are not in our tenant. Also we do not use the cloud/service. We publish ours to our site. Can we still use power automate to do this?

Apologies, I missed the cloud restriction comment. In that case you might want to use Power Automate desktop flows, if it isn't published to the cloud.

With that version of Power Automate you can interact with local applications (like Power BI Desktop and your Outlook via UI elements) and the file system. With Power BI Desktop itself you can export to pdf.
