How to Maintain Parameter Values After Page Refresh in Power BI Paginated Reports?
Hello everyone,
I'm currently working on Power BI Paginated Reports and encountering an issue where parameter values reset to their default settings upon page refresh. I understand that Power BI doesn't natively support persistent parameters in paginated reports as of my latest knowledge.
Could anyone suggest any workarounds or techniques to maintain parameter values consistently despite page refreshes? Any suggestions on external solutions or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried to look for alternate solutions for your need regarding parameters, but there is not any documented alternate techniques reagarding it.
So the currently available feature is to utilize default value option, if it is not upto you expectations, I recommend submitting it as an idea on the Fabric Ideas Portal. If this idea gains enough upvotes, the Microsoft team may consider implementing it in future updates.

A workaround might be to make a semantec model for your data and then make a paginated report on top of that semantec model. In that paginated report you could write it as a DAX query and code your parameter into the DAX. Since it's not re-running the sql Query at refresh this may help.

Please check out the default values for a power BI paginated report parameter concept, which may help in your scenario.
Once you create a parameter in a Power BI paginated report, you can assign a set of default values. If every parameter is given a valid default, the report will automatically execute the first time it is viewed or previewed.Add or modify default values for a Power BI paginated report parameter - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Go to the parameter's properties, where you'll find the Default Values section.
