How to Import Shared Report Links from Microsoft Power BI Services into My Own Microsoft Power BI

Friends, Now I want to import a shared report in Microsoft Power BI service (I have only web link to view the data in it, I am not a collaborator or member of the organization of the report) linking to my own Microsoft Power BI Desktop to extract some data, can I do that? What should I do? Thanks old-timers!

Hey @oldtimers666 ,

If you are looking at a report that somebody else has shared with you then you have to get permissions from them to download or save or edit the report.  And, since you state that you are not a collaborator or member of the sharing organization they probably haven't shared those items with you on purpose.  But, you will have to ask the share-er to give you those rights.

If you are just looking to get some of the information from some of the visuals, then you can see about exporting the data.  Again, they may have that turned off for you though.

Thank you for your answer. I'll contact the creator of the report.
