How pined visual refreshes?
By chance I discovered this feature:
Therefore I will pin it to the Landing Page, like:
(this report consumes with DirectQuery from an SSAS source).
My question is: will this pinned visual update automatically too?
Hi. It depends on the exact moment you pin it. It saves the current state. That means that if you have filtered august before pinning, after august it will still show august. If you make sure that the card didn't have a filter that could affect the date en the following days, then you are ok. Panels automatically update their data with the semantic model. However, it can be tricky that state before pinning, that's why I have told you the previous example.

The data doesnt refresh unless I click the refresh button:
is a bit annoying as some users are complaining... and I have to tell them to hit the 'refresh' button... Is there a way to avoid this? I want to be refreshed automatically.... ifpossible
Hi. Dashboards are supposed to be automatically updated. If there is a model refresh and you have the dashboard opened, the changes should be reflected instantly. You might need to raise a ticket or submit an issue 😞
