    Hey,

yes it can take some time to understand the licensing part of Power BI :-)

First thing to know: each user no matter if the user is an author of content (creating a report using Power BI Desktop) or the user is just consuming the content has to be provided with some kind of license.

The simple thing, provide each user with Power BI Pro license.

Depending on the number of users this can become expensive. Considering that a large part of the usere are just consuming content, this might seem to be an overkill. If the number of content consumers becomes large, Power BI Premium can become interesting, as Premium provides the possiblity that an anonymous number of users can consume content created by others. Content creators still need a Pro license.

By the number you have given - 6 users.

You have to buy 6 pro licenses.

Create a Power BI tenant, create a workspace, publish the Power BI Desktop file (the content) to the workspace, get the link of the report inside the the workspace, and embed the report in Sharepoint online.

    Done ;-)

Hopefully this answers some of your questions.

    Regards,

    Tom
