I have created a group workspace, to which I tried to add a user, who is a colleague within the same company as I am.
But after entering the user's email (in order to grant access to the group to this user), I get a message saying that "The email address don't exist in your organization"
How does Power BI come to determine that this user is "not" in my organization? What do I do to let Power BI know that this user is indeed a part of the company/organization?
@cableoneob Does the user have the same domain as you? if so, double check that you are typing it in correctly. 1) It should auto complete.. 2) The only time I get that error is when I use a different domain. I was able to add fictional email accounts no problem.
If it isn't any of the above, could you clarify some of your configuration details? Azure AD synced to on premises, cloud only use, does the user have multiple emails...
it looks like my domain is different from the particular user I was trying to add (even in the same company). so that could be the culprit. I'll try with another user on the same domain as me. Thank you!
@cableoneob I don't know all the particulars, but you should be able to register multiple domains in Azure AD. So, for long term - check with your Admins to see how they are handling the other part of the company (diff domain).
