How do I grant access to a datasource by datasourceid as administrator ?

There is a datasource that belongs to an employee (I think on their personal workspace). I would like to share this datasource with myself so that I can see it in app.powerbi.com and from there manage permissons for other people who need access to the datasoruce. I have the datasource id from connecting with powershell, but do not know what the next steps are.

  • Hi agneum

As the owner to republish this dataset to a shared workspace.

    Best Regards,
    Mariusz

Mariusz I feel that asking the owner defeats the purpose of being an administrator.

Greg_Deckler : Do you know how I can figure out the workspace the datasource belongs to with a powershell command?

The only thing I know for granting access is Add-PowerBIWorkspaceUser
