How do I automate PowerBI Semantic model schema refresh? Please help!!

I have a semantic model in powerbi service which has a refresh schedule enabled. I configured the on-premise data gateway and the data refresh happens without any issues. My semantic model has few tables, which are actually dynamic views in my database. The views are configured to reflect additional columns in my database from time to time. I can refresh the data of views for my semantic model, but how do i automate to reflect the schema changes to my semantic model(i.e additional columns in my views). I have done a lot of research on this, but couldnot find a automated approach to update semantic model schema. I tried using ALM toolkit, but I had to do it manually, I am looking for a automated approach. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Hi  @Preethamsai69

Power BI Desktop itself does not have a built-in feature for automatic publishing at intervals. Please refer to the link below .

Thank you for the response. With ALM tool kit I was able to make the schema changes to my semantic model, but is there a way where I can schedule this change to happen automatically?

Hi  @Preethamsai69

A schema refresh needs to happen in Power BI Desktop and the semantic model republished to the service.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-data#power-bi-refresh-types

So what you need is the ability to automatically publish reports from Desktop to Service . I found a similar case , maybe you can refer to it .
