How do I Indent a Content Section with a Previous Section in an App

I was using a Curbal video to help me learn how to design a new app. The screenshot here shows that the navigation builder provided an option to associate a section with a previous section, thereby allowing the entire sub-section to be closed by the user and providing a high-level grouping of content to improve the user experience.

Has this feature been removed? The UI is different but I cannot see another way of making this work. It seems to be available if you add a link as a section but not if you add content.

I have created a section called Scheduling with no content then added multiple scheduling reports underneath it but I cannot see a way to indent these reports so they all appear within the Scheduling Section.

It also seems there was an option to "Hide From Navigation" which also sounds interesting, especially if it just removed the report name from the menu and allowed the tabs to be listed seamlessly beneath the previous section, but I am unable to find this either.

Do I need to as IT to grant me elevated permissions to utilise these features? Have they been removed, or am I missing something?

Many thanks

Thank you Polly

So in summary it seems that it is currently not possible to indent items in an App and the option to "Hide from Navigation" did not hide section headings, rather hid the entire section which is now achievable by showing/hiding per audience.

I hope some of these features re-appear over time but I can work with what we have for now

Thanks

Hi @MarkHerd ,

There have been some changes to the app recently. The actions in the video apply to the template app or previous apps. If you want to "hide from Navigation",please have a try.

  • Select the hide/show icon next to each item in the workspace to determine the content that this app audience can see.
