Hello,
I want to enable fabric i have followed all the steps in the steps given by the microsoft.
There is one more section of capacity. (Enable for capacity)
Can you guys explain me what exactly this is and is this important to enable?
Thank you.
Solved! Go to Solution.
It's a new license at the suite. It will be purchased at Azure and will let you use all the Fabric Items as service. Only premium and fabric capacity will support using the data factory, engineering and science services for a workspace.
Today there is a new announcements of the pricing: https://blog.fabric.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-microsoft-fabric-capacities-are-available-fo...
I hope that make sense
Happy to help!
I can start the trial, I can associate it to workspaces. But I can't use anything related to fabric.
The diamond is visible:
The company even did me an admin. All settings are set as described.
I even created a new Azure Account, and inside this Azure Account I created a Fabric Capacity and I tried to assign this capacity. Nothing helps.
Please see this video for a full explanation.

Helpful video, but still not seeing the persona/experiences switcher. Set up an E5 trial, I’m a global admin, enabled the Fabric trial, enabled Fabric at the tenant level, and can use Trial capacity for workspaces, and see Dataflow and Datamart (preview), but missing most of the stuff. Tried creating a Fabric capacity in Azure (F64), created Azure Storage for the tenant space. Nothing seems to get the experiences menu to show at the bottom left.
check the region, where you created the capacity. If it is not supported, you are in the boot. There is no warning. By default the tenants region is used. But it need to be changed, if the region is not valid for the test. And regarding to Microsoft Docs there is no way to change the region afterwards. You just lost your test days.
I just created the trial today and it’s using the Trial Capacity. Nothing I tried: Trial Capacity that came with the trial itself or creating a Fabric Capacity in Azure and using that does anything to make the experiences menu show up.
did you check the region?
If you have access to the admin portal, check the region, where you created the test capacity. Which region is shown there?
If you miss required admin right, check your current region. If you did not change the settings, when you created the test capacity, then your current region was used.
For example, in the tenant, where I have the same issues, the tenant region is Western Germany, so I created the test capacity also in this region, as it was suggested as default. Microsoft don't prevent this, MS don't gives a warning. You just create a capacity, but it will not be supported. Even creating a paid fafric capacity don't work. You will be charged (I was charged), but it can't be used.
It’s Central US, for both the Trial Capacity and the Azure Capacity.

you see, this region is not listed here. That's why it is not available.
Welcome in the club!
Hi. First of all, the admin should allow Fabric trial and Fabric item creation for users at Admin Portal over Tenant Settings. Once that's allowed, you can create a Fabric Trial. The Fabric is a capacity license. That means it will be available when you turn it on at a workspace. The workspace settings has a capacity setting to turn on "Fabric Trial". You should see a diamond next to the name once it worked.
I hope that helps

Hey, Thanks for replying.
But I still don't get it. What exactly is this capacity?
