How can just let people can "View", "Share" but no "Edit" with my reports

Hi people,

I have a question about the permission.

Is there anyway can just let people Read and Share my report but no Edit ?

And I also think if they can create report base on dataset at the same time.

Cuz when I allow people share my reports, they can edit as well.  I do not want them edit it but they can share it with others.

Please let me know if you know chance.

Thank you !

@Anonymous - In the sharing dialog set your settings like the following (from report Share menu option in the Service). Do NOT share the workspace access with them

Thank you for replay @Greg_Deckler

I tried the method you offred. It works for most of my data, but still part does not work.

For example, I have 4 customers, and they are A, B, C, D. And I want to my collegue to check reports, so when I give my collegue both permissions of workspace and reports, he can view all the customers'data, but when I removed him out of workspace, he cannot find D within filter.

Do you know why ? or I missed any step ?

@Anonymous It sounds like you have row level security implemented. Right? When your user is part of the workspace, RLS does not apply and they see everything. When they are not part of the workspace and the report is just shared with them, then RLS applies and D is filtered out. That's what it sounds like.
