Hover text stopped working in service

Hi,

Up until a few weeks ago "Hover text" was working in my report in Service. If i download my report and open in Desktop it is still working, just not when i publish the report in Service. Same issue when using Chrome or Edge browser.

To confirm, this is not seperate Tooltip configuration. Simply when you hover over a text field, the text/content is displayed in a "pop up" box.

This is especially usefull when there is too much text to fit in the cell, for example when im using it in a status field.

Anyone else noticed this? has something been disabled?

According to your descripition, when you view the table visual in Power BI Service and you hover your mouse on the fields in it .  It did not show the tooltips.

For this , you can try to open the ToolTips options for this visual in Power BI Service:

Then we can see the tooltip when you hover on it :

And you can also custom the tooltip if you need , you can refer to this:

Hi, 

This didnt really help as the point was previously i didnt need to configure the tootip, it automatically showed the field contents in the hover popup. Now, just to get functionality back i have just created a tooltip page and configured it to only show on the field i want using the method described here..
