Horizontal scroll bar not scrolling properly

In Power BI Desktop, I have a report with 3 different types of visualizations

  1. Line and Stacked column chart
  2. 100% Stacked column chart
  3. Stacked column chart

In Power BI Desktop using any of the three types of visualizations, I am able to grab the Horizontal scroll bar with my mouse and scroll to the left and right of the visualization normally.  However, after publishing the report to a Power BI Workspace, the scrolling behaviour stops behaving normally.  I am not able to grab the scoll bar with my mouse.  Instead, I have to click to the left or right side of the scroll bar to move it.  If I try to grab it with my mouse,  I get a selection area (see visualization below):

Things I tried:

  • Removed the visualizations with horizontal scroll bars and re-created them from scratch incase the issue with scrolling was being caused by an older version of an updated visualization, but it did not resolve the issue
  • Looked at switching from categorical to linear values on the x-axis but it only works for dates and numbers
  • Downloaded a working version of the report (where the scrollbars are working normally) to Power BI Desktop and re-published it into another workspace, and the issue appeared

Has there been an update to Power BI Desktop that is causing this new issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @philcharbonneau ,

Based on my test,  In service, you need to click the scroll bar and try dragging, then immediately release the left mouse button. Then you can gain control of the scroll bar by moving the mouse. Click the left mouse button again and you will lose control of the scroll bar.

Whether this is the normal operation method of power bi service or a defect, I need to further confirm with the team.
