Horizontal Slicer Bug

Hi Guys,

Looks like there is a bug with the horizontal slicer once you upload from desktop to the service.

When you try and view online, it trys to squeeze the horizontal slicer into vertical and looks horrible.

Thanks,

I can't replicate that. I have about two dozen horizontal slicers in my various reports and they all look fine right now. What browser are you using?

It seems to be linked to horizontal slicers that feature dates.

I get the same problem across IExplorer and Chrome. It fixes itself once you click into the slicer, but looks pretty bad before you do this.

See attached below. I have just created a new dummy file and uploaded. When I first click in, it tries to show my horizontal slicer vertically, but fixes itself once I click in. This has only started happening to my dashboards recently:

Hi @Rich_P_G,

Based on my test, the issue only exists for free user. When we publish PBIX file from Power BI Desktop to Power BI Service and click refresh in browser as shown in the following screenshot , the date slicer changes from horizontal to vertical orientation. And once we select value in the date slicer, the date slicer changes back to horizontal . I have reported this issue internally and I will post back once I get any updates.

In addition, this issue doesn’t exist for Power BI pro users. And you can convert date column from date type to text type to temporarily work around this issue.

Thanks,
Lydia Zhang
