Hierarchical Slicer not displaying correctly

Dear Power BI Community,

i have spend more than a day trying to figure out a problem with the displaying of my slicers in the Power BI Service. I have a report with sensitive employee data which is why i can't show any details so ill try to descibe it as good as i can. We have setup a mapping table which includes all employees and their supervisor structure as a base for our RLS. It is static but it does the job perfectly. On all my pages i have slicers setup which are showing the supervisors down to the "lowest" level. For over a year we had zero problems with it and now all over sudden they are not working correctly. When i view them either in Desktop or Service everything is fine. Even if i view the report as a specific role everything is fine. When another user is viewing the report in the PBI Service however it is only showing one value. We checked for Browers, we deleted the cache, made the slicer new and republished the report and now im very much out of any possible answers. I also can't find any known bug in any forum. So this is really my last hope to find an answer.

Thanks in advance

Linus

Hi @lquistorf It Might be because of RLS issue could you check for this

  • Ensure RLS roles are correctly configured and tested with "View as Role."
  • Verify affected users have proper access to the dataset and report.
  • Re-publish the dataset and refresh it to resolve any sync issues.
  • Test the slicer in a different browser to rule out browser-related problems.
If the issue still exist try with Mapping Table

Thanks for your response. I think i actually just fixed it by changing the display mode from chevron to carent. The devs might want to have a look at it if there are any bugs occuring
