Hide a Column in a Table Visual - BI Service Report

To hide the Salary column in a table visual is done by using  Field Parameter in Power BI Desktop, follow these steps:

• Choose the required columns (including Salary) and add them to the Table Visual.
• Navigate to Modeling → New Parameter → Fields.
• Set the Parameter Name as parTableVisual.
• Select the relevant table and check the columns that were added to the Table Visual.
• Uncheck the option "Add slicer to this page".
• Click Create Parameter

Then Parameter is created

Now select the new table visual and select the Parameter now both the Tablevisuals are  Identical. Select the Filter and drag the Parameter to the filter pane select all columns except which you want the users to not to be visible(salary)

Now remove the first visual in which salary column is present and publish the other.
