Help to build report by using 2 already published datasets using live connection
Can someone let me know if there is a way to use 2 already published datasets as data sources using live connection and build a new PBI report on top of it.
I went through articles saying live connection can only be used with 1 single dataset. Also, is it not possible by using composite Power BI model (is composite model only used for direct query and import data mode)?

You can connect to only one dataset in each report. The behavior is similar to a SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) connection.
In summary, Power BI datasets do not support composite models, and you cannot live connect 2 datasets at the same time.

Unfortunately, this is by design. Power BI is now unable to achieve what you need. You can submit an idea for it at https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/ and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
