Help getting Power BI assistance
Hi will2live , Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
This is a setup issue, not a Power BI problem. Your tenant doesn’t have full Microsoft 365 services (like OneDrive/SharePoint) properly set up and Power BI Service depends on them. That’s why you’re seeing the OneDrive license error and why uploads/web actions are failing, even if you’re the admin.
Use Power BI Desktop, that’s the main tool professionals use anyway. You can build full reports there and use them as your portfolio. If you really want dashboards in the Service, use a free Microsoft 365 Developer tenant (it comes fully configured).
Note: I've decided to just try and create individual reports on Desktop and present them together as a dashboard if asked, but I'm still disappointed by all the hurdles I've faced, this doesn't seem to be a very intuitive platform for people outside of businessess and organizations. 😞
