Hi everyone,
I’m facing an error when refreshing Power BI reports on Power BI Service connected to an Access database (.mdb).
Everything works fine in Power BI Desktop, I can refresh and publish but it fails on Power BI Service.
I’ve confirmed:
•Data is clean, types are consistent.
•Gateway is configured with an account having Access installed.
The error details are as follows:
{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorCode","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingErrorMessage","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Erreur non spécifiée"}},{"code":"DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult","detail":{"type":1,"value":"-2147467259"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Detail","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Gard.mdb"}},{"code":"Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Reason","detail":{"type":1,"value":"DataFormat.Error"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: SITCLI.

Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas on fixing it? Could it be an Access-specific compatibility issue?
Thanks for any help!

Hi, @Hugo123
I think you can refer to the solution of the following case, in which the owner encountered the same error as yours, also using Access database.

Hi @Hugo123 ,
It looks there are errors in your data.
{"type":1,"value":"DataFormat.Error"}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}. Turn on column profiler/column quality and check all your applied steps one by one.
Thanks,
Sai Teja
Hi @Hugo123 ,
This article has a number of options: Troubleshoot Access and XLS import issues in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Also, you stated it but have you absolutely confirmed that there are no odd data bits in the SITCLI table?
Are you using an ODBC connector to get to Access? If so, the exact same version needs to be installed (and named the same preferrably) on the Gateway server.
Or, you can review this article with some tips:
