Having issues with dates/string sorting on live connection

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has any experience solving this issue.  And apologies if this isn't the best forum for it.  I have Alteryx writing a dataset to Power Bi Server.  Alteryx only allows dates in ISO format.. IE yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss but i'd like the Power Bi visuals to sort by months looking like August, september, october so they would then need to be strings.  However Power Bi then sorts alphabetically and gives me August, October, September.  So currently i have solved this by calling my months 1. August, 2. September, 3. October but its not the prettiest.  I have seen people recommend date tables but unless i'm mistaken, it doesn't look like you can have a second data source when using live connection.  Any ideas?
