Handling error in PowerBI.com

Hi guys,

I have an error which only occurs in PowerBI.com (so it is after publish)

Ther error it self is somewhat not informed much :

Couldn't load the data for this visual

Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual. Please try again later.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

How to handle this kind of error ? Again, I must say, if I check and run again in my local (PowerBI descktop), it was no error. Is there a log and where can I retireve it ?

I think your dataset has RLS, right?
If this is a case, you need to assign role to user to apply RLS filter, otherwise they will got this can't load data error.

Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI

BTW, current RLS only works on read permission, so admin and dataset owner can see each records even if they not get RLS roles.

If not your case, please share your sample pbix file for us have a test. Do mask sensitive data before uploading

Hi,

Actually we have other reports that using the same roles and setting, but it working just fine. 

Beside Audit log, is there any other place that system will tell what is the error and from where it coming from ?

I think there be something wrong in RLS, Yould could disable the RLS for this report and have a test again.

If you still have the problem, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support to get further help.
