Good afternoon,
Up to recently, I had a dozen or so Power BI reports auto-refreshing in the online service site. All using the same ODBC connection to our ERP system. The ODBC was originally named 'CMS-64'.
Recently I started getting this error message for some of my reports, while some are using the same ODBC connection and continuing to refresh without problem. I changed the name to 'CMS' to shorten it and remove the special character. No change to the reports that were refreshing vs. not.
I don't think there is a huge difference in the size of the reports that are successful and those that fail. Can figure out why these will refresh in the desktop application, but not the online site. And like I said, the ODBC connector works for some reports, and not others.
Any help will be much appreciated, I haven't been able to find this issue documented in exactly the same way online. Thanks!
Hi! @thuma
I see in the error that the root cause is the Data source. Can you check the table Production Data in the PBI desktop file and try to refresh it there and let me know if it works or not?
Also, you can have a look at the other solution
