HELP REQUEST - Power BI dataset does not show my data sources in the Maps to dropdown
I have two Teradata data source connections using different service accounts for different access levels in the same Teradata environment.
These data sources are already shared to users. However, I could only see the first data source in the Maps to dropdown when configuring the Gateway and Cloud connections.

You're not seeing it where? When scheduling refresh? Is the gateway connection shared with the user account you're trying to use for the refresh? I've also seen issues with using the fully-qualified server name vs short name for SQL sources, not sure if this would apply to Teradata or not (they need to match in the dataset and gateway connection).

Hi. I am running into the same issue where after adding (creating) a data source under "Add to gateway" it does not appear (no dropdown to select the DS just created; usually it is available immediately). This is a typical task I do regularly but for some reason I am unable to get this to work for this report. Any suggestions?
When you add a source to a gateway, you have to grant access to the people you want to use it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-data-sources#manage-users
Hi Christine,
Thanks for your feedback. I have confirmed with the user and this was a permission issue. Although the AAD group was already granted access to use the connection, there was a new user who was not yet added into the group. But your hint about shared connection prompted me to double check with the impacted user. Appreciate your response.
