Gridlines appearing when turned off
Seems this is a new visual glitch that has started occuring in Service.
On all of my charts, I turn the gridlines off. Within desktop, the chart displays correctly = no gridlines.
However, in service, the charts all have gridlines again (even after checking in edit mode which shows they are turned off).
Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Hi all,
The PG team has added the repair item - expected fix in the next month.
For now, you may try set transparency to 100% as a workaround.
Best regards.

Hi MainlineData ,
Double-check the gridline settings for each visual in your report within Power BI Desktop. Ensure that for each visual, the gridlines are explicitly turned off. This can be done by selecting a visual, navigating to the Format pane, expanding the X axis or Y axis options (depending on the visual), and ensuring the Gridlines setting is toggled off.
Try clearing your browser cache or try a different browser. After confirming that all visuals have the gridlines turned off, save your changes and republish the report to the Power BI Service. Sometimes, a fresh publish can help resolve discrepancies between Desktop and Service.
Best Regards

This is happening to me too - I have well over 40 PBI dashboards published to the Service and I always explictly turn off all gridlines in my bar chart visuals of all dashboards that may have been published from old PBI Desktop versions but just haven't had any recent updates, and now they're appearing on every single bar chart even though they're turned off in the PBI Desktop version
To update every report would be an extremely time consuming and lengthy procedure, and in my local versions I can confirm gridlines are turned off and aren't showing, but on the Service gridlines are showing:
This seems to be a new bug introduced by an update to the PBI Service

Can you pin it down to a particular date? There was a service update on saturday but a long pause before that.

Same here. Gridlines all turned off. Fine in desktop, shown in browser after publishing.
Every time power bi gets updated something sees to regress.EDIT: I managed to "fix" the problem. This is so dumb, but what worked for me is turning the gridlines ON, then set the line width to 0.

Hi All,
Chiming in to say I'm having the exact same issue. No gridlines selected in the pbix file but when published, gridlines show (bar graphs). Hope a fix is coming to the Service quickly as it's important to have the Service reflect what we publish.
