If the GitHub icon is greyed out:
- GitHub Integration Disabled: Ensure it's enabled in the Power BI Admin Portal → Tenant settings → Integration settings.
- No Premium Capacity: Verify the workspace is in a Power BI Premium Capacity.
- Account Linking: Confirm your Power BI account is linked to your GitHub account.
- Network or Browser Issue: Try a different browser or network.
- Regional Availability: Check if GitHub integration is supported in your region.
If everything is set up correctly, contact Microsoft Support.

No it is not Fabric, solely PBI.
The second link would be great, however I am still seeing the GitHub icon disabled. Keep in mind from the above comment string that I have worked with the admin to enable the settings.
