Get Data - Upload Local File PBIX to Power BI Workspace

Hi,

I have been publishing PBIX desktop files to app.powerbi.com to share with my colleagues but it starts to fail since yesterday (error message saying that I don't have access and have to contact the owner, although I am actually the owner). After browsing some other posts on the forum I have also tried uploading the PBIX through the Get Data and then choose the local file on the Workspace but it also failed with an error message like the following one.

Uploading it from OneDrive still works, but it's creating a new Report/Dataset instead of replacing the old one. This would be problematic because my viewers have always been accessing the old report/link and security roles have been applied.

Since we don't have much support for Power BI from IT internally, I want to see if anyone knows how to troubleshoot this (or would have some hints that I could share with my IT team to check and work on).

Thanks for your help!

Hi @BT2021Pru ,

What's the data source of your PBIX file, what data connectivity mode did you use? I suggest you try to use import mode, or manage data gateway for the data source.
