Gateway problem with folders in an other server

Hi guys,

I have published a report. The gateway is installed in a server in cloud and the odbc too and it's ok. The Excel files are in an other server and the gateway doesn't see them. But if I connect my report (power bi desktop) to excel files it works.

So, how can do?

the way is like \\192.05.66.52\excel\etc etc..

From the server in cloud I can see the folders where is the excel files

Thank you all 🙂

Hi @giuliapiazza94

You will have to make sure in your PBIX file that you connect in the same way your server in the cloud can see them.

For example in PBI Desktop when connecting to the Excel file make sure you use the connection of \\192.05.66.52\excel\

And make sure that you set up the data source in the Power BI service with the same location of \\192.05.66.52\excel\
