Gateway offline, why?
Hi, my issue is fixed, but I am trying to prevent it in the future...
Issue:
My gateway appeared offline:
Details:
I checked the server, and it was running fine:
I had all my reports down for several minutes… Didn't know what to do... I restarted the service and everything magically works now… how can I prevent this issue from happening in the future?
Hello Anonymous ,
the server that has the gateway or the pc that has the gateway should be online always.
consider to keep the gateway updated. that version is almost 3 years old.

Hi Anonymous
Thanks for R1k91 , Idrissshatila reply.
Here is what I need to add.
First, regularly check the performance of your gateway and look at its logs for any unusual activity or errors. This can help you identify and resolve issues before they lead to downtime.
Second, in Power BI, you can set up alerts to notify you if a scheduled refresh fails. This can help you quickly resolve any issues with your gateway or data source credentials.
Finally, make sure the gateway is configured to meet your network requirements, including firewall and proxy settings. Incorrect configurations can lead to connectivity issues.
