Hi Team,
We are doing the Power BI migration from tenant A to tenant B.
In tenant A they have used Virtual machine to connect to Gateway..
If we need to do for tenant B, what needs to be done, any pre-requiste are there..
Please let me know..
Thanks,

The gateway VMs need to have direct line of sight to the on-premise data sources. Ideally they should be in the same subnet so you can minimize the network latency.
That's the standard setup for on premise data gateways - a bunch of VMs that are in the same physical network as your on-premise data sources. Please elaborate on your question.
We’re migrating Power BI content from Tenant A to Tenant B. In Tenant A, there is an on-premises data gateway installed on a virtual machine, which connects to on-premises data sources.
For Tenant B, I understand we will need a gateway as well.
a. Can we reuse the same VM to install/register a new gateway for Tenant B?
b. Are there any prerequisites or best practices for setting up the gateway for Tenant B?
c. Is there any way to migrate the gateway configuration (data sources, credentials) from Tenant A to Tenant B, or do we need to recreate them manually in Tenant B?
Any guidance on these points would be appreciated!
a) no. Needs a separate gateway (ideally a cluster)
b) at least two VMs. 32 GB RAM, 16 cores, 10 Gbit network adapter
c) no migration possible. Recreate manually
Sorry, the question was not clear.

Please reply..
You will need a new VM (or multiple!) that has direct line of sight to the on-premise data sources in Tenant B.
Thanks for the reply..
In tenant A we are using Premium capacity, for tenant B we are using Shared capacity now, will be using Premium later (after 1 month), will the VM work for tenant B...
