Gateway issue
We solved the issue. Our SQL server is a named isntance so we had to add port number, and the reports were connected to the server without the port number, and that was causing an issue. The name of the server in power bi desktop from which we are pulling the data has to be exactly the same on the Gateway.
GilbertQ Thank you so much for helping out.
have you tried setting the Gateway to use HTTPS to see if that works on the server where the Gateway is installed?
thank you GilbertQ The gateway was successfully installed on the server and connected to the data source, the issue is every time I publish a report my system doesn't find the Gateway (it tells me no gateway is enabled) Should I do something to my own firewall to allow the enterprise gateway , any clue on why my computer can't find the gateway.

You will have to create the data source in the Manage Gateway's within the Power BI service- Manar8 years agoHelper II
GilbertQ My Company already installed the Gateway, connected it to the Datasource , the issue is when I publish a report using the same Server name and database (Direct Mode), it gives me an error meesage : " we were unable to find gateway"
