We are trying to install the PowerBI gateway, but having the issues with the firewall settings, hat fire wall settings do we need to have to isntall the powerBI gateway, any suggestions please.

There are a couple of types of gateways (Personal and On-Premise) and you will need the On-Premise one.
When implementing this I selected:
Data Source Type
Server
Database
Then used a service account to link to the server.
The service account has local admin permissions on the server and in SSMS had sysadmin permissions.
