Hello,
Maybe I will ask stupid question but I have to ask.
I was asked to run the PowerBI gate for the whole organization. Obviously, I should use a cluster, but I do not fully understand how should I plan it. If I run a cluster and during the installation I use my own account, it will be visible only to me, right?
Has anyone gone through the implementation of a global power bi gateway solution in the organization and can share their experiences?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there
You are correct in that the first person who installs the Gateway is by default the Administrator.
With the gateway there should possibly be a few Admins, which you can add via the Power BI Service.
Then when creating the data sources, that is where you will assign users or Active Directory Security groups who can access and use the data source.
I would recommend starting here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-onprem
Go through each of the steps.
Hi, @Anonymous
First, you should understand the two main function of Gateway cluster:
What’s more, you can add other members to the gateway admin, so that they can also manage the gateway cluster(like add data source, add admin)
I recommend you use an on-premise gateway server. Because it's closer to both on-premise data source and Power BI Service. (just like a bridge between these two things)

Thank you.
I will do that for sure and I will test it.
One more thing. If I have my datasets on-premis and Power BI Service is on cloud ofcourse should I run my gateway servers on-premis (closer to data) or use VM on Azure instead?
