Gateway connection support for local files to GDrive

Hello - trying to set up gateway connection to some local pathing to a file located on my organizations GDrive This is the error I get - and you can see the pathing exists. Gateway is installed on another server - not my laptop I am logged into PB service in. The OData connectons  work fine, so I know gateway set up ok. All help welcome. Thx

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @v-zhangti - Thank you for the response. I actually ended up with a workaround of moving the excel sheets to sharepoint lists. which fixed this problm basically b/c Gateway no longer needed .... it caused a new set of problems... haha .. But I'll look for a SharePoint forum to post those to! Thanks for the referral doc - was helpful.

Hi, @ctedesco3307

It’s usually because Power BI can’t sign into data sources, or if the dataset connects to an on-premises data source, the gateway is offline. Make sure Power BI can sign into data sources. If a password you use to sign into a data source changes, or Power BI gets signed out from a data source, be sure to try signing into your data sources again in Data Source Credentials.

You can also refer to the following documents to see if they are helpful to you. https://docs.microsoft.com/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-scheduled-refresh#data-source-credentials
