Gateway connection issue + rolling back versions?

Hi,

We've had some issues with the August version of the Gateway (personal). The version we have installed is 14.16.6792.1.

This is the error we're getting:

I've tried to roll back to July's version as that worked, but realised that the installer just auto installs the latest version from Microsoft. Is there any way around this? It's frustrating as we can't test whether the update will break the gateway until after we've installed it.

If there isn't an option to roll back to a release that was stable for us, has anyone got any ideas for resolving the issue above? We haven't changed anything on our network, the machine hasn't changed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change.

Thanks.

    Hi Yuliana,

Thank you for this. I did test the connection as prompted in the link and it failed. We had never opened any of the ports specifically as our gateway was set up to use https. Having checked the Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.Pipeline.GatewayCore.dll.config file, it looks like August's update overwrote our previous settings. I've changed 'ServiceBusSystemConnectivityModeString' back  to 'https' rather than 'autodetect' and the gateway is now connecting after a logoff/logon.

    Thank you!
