Gateway configured incorrect

Hey guys,

I have a report which has the correct cluster below.

ROG_0-1666174735146.png
When click on this arrow below, and then 'Add to gateway', I update the details, and then 'Create'.
But it only creates a new data source, and it dones't give me the option to actually use that cluster with the new created data source. So at this point, I'm in a foreve loop. How can configurate this cluster correct, so I can just select it on the circle?
What can I do, when after updating the source details, I can connect the gateway?

Thank you!

Hi @ROG ,

Before configure the gateway, you need to add the required data sources for your gateway first.

1.From the page header in the Power BI service, select Settings Manage gateways.

2.Select New at the top of the ribbon to add a new data source.

3.Choose the gateway you want to create the connection on, by providing the Gateway cluster name, then select the Data Source Type. In this example, we'll choose SQL Server.

4.Enter information about the data source. For SQL Server, provide the Server and Database.

5.Select an Authentication Method to use when connecting to the data source. For SQL Server, choose Windows or Basic (SQL Authentication). Enter the credentials for your data source.

Then you can follow this documentation to use the data source via the gateway.

Hope this helps you.
