Gateway configuration

A client is installing a Power BI on-prem gateway. I have been given credentials to access their powerbi.com so I can add gateway to the workspace. I am not sure how the service is going to know that there is a gateway out there. Please, help.

When they install the gateway, they will be prompted to sign-into the power bi service (for their tenant) to register the gateway.  They will need to add you as a power bi gateway administrator.  Once they do this, when you login to their power bi service, you will see the gateway when you select "Manage gateways" from the settings icon
