Gateway/Scheduled Refresh diasappeared from model

Hi Community.

I have 1 Workspace in where i have 3 different PowerBI Reports.

All of them having been there for more than 6 months, and running scheduled refresh twise a day.

All are based on 2 types of Import connections: "SQL Database" and "Web" (Sharepoint Excel)

This morning all 3 reportes updated successfully, but when I tried to republish a minor visual change to one of the reports, it suddenly told me that;

"You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because the following data sources currently don't support refresh:

Discover Data Sources"Please note that it actually doesnt mention any source that are not supporrted, and that there are no change in sources after last successful Scheduled refresh. I tried to Restore the Model which i made changes, to the previous version, but that did not solve it. Does anyone have any prior encounters to this issue - I have tried every possible solution, which I have been able to find in here. Bonus info - It doesnt have "Gateway connection visible at all in the Dataset page.

{The Broken Dataset}

{A Functioning for comparison, as this is how the other looked as well before the issue encountered this morning}

With Kind Regards

Morten

  • Hi, MortenDeleuran

    Please try to publish the report to a new workspace, and re-add and configure the data source credentials under the gateway to check if the problem persists.

  • I Updated the Gateway Friday, which didnt immidiately solve the issue.
    But republishing the same .pbix this morning, worked.
    I believe the On-Prem Gateway was the issue, and needed some time.

    Thanks for the assistance.
