Gateway Connection on Power BI Service.

Based on the error message you provided, I observed that the path you are using seems to be a folder, can you copy the complete file name of the csv or text file and try again. Please right click on the file and copy as path.

Thank you for you prompt reply. I have indeed double-checked the file's path as you have suggested, as a matter of fact, I did it before and after you had suggested.
I even ran the "whoami" command in the command shell to try using my local pc rather than my email, and when I did that, the error message changed as per above photo.
It was mentionned in the tutorial am busy with that this stage is a bit tricky, I saw however the lecturer connecting using his email address in the authentication section. Though I faithfully followed the steps and even explored ather options, I still cannot connect.
Hi e_kalonji -When configuring the data source in the On-premises Data Gateway (in Power BI Service), ensure the Data Source Credentials match the account with file access. Often, it's helpful to use a domain\username format if the account is on a domain.
If your email isn’t working, try logging in with domain credentials directly in the gateway configuration (e.g., DOMAIN\username) instead of the email format.
If you’re still unable to connect, a good approach would be to test with a simple data source, like a local Excel file, to isolate whether the issue is specific to the network drive configuration.

Hi rajendraongole1, there is no way to set a gateway using the local computer's login details since the system requires an email address.
I read all the resources you recommended, double checked that my login details corresponded, but am still getting this two error messages:
1. This one when am using my email address.
2. This one when I attempt to connect using my local machine login details.
