Hello,
I'm trying to create an On-Premise Gateway connection to a SQL Server using a specifc port. I can connect ot the data source in SQL Server Mgmt Studio without an issue. When I attempt to create a Gateway connection using the same server name, port, database name, Username and password it fails. We've confirmed that it's passing through the Firewall without issue. Our Gateway is updated to Feb 2021.
The underlying error code is shown in the gateway is -2146232060 SQL Server Database unavailable.
What else could be causing this issue? Could it be the 'Basic' authentication method and something on the database side of things? Windows auth is not an option for this data source.

It was to be a port change only but the name had indeed changed.
Hi @mgaynor
Could you put in an example that you are using for the data source?
If it is getting through the firewall it would appear that it might be something that needs to be fixed with the database name ?

Thanks for letting us know!
