Gateway Clustering

Hi,

 

We are in a process of setting up a cluster for the gateway and I have the following questions.

- Do we need to have Windows Clustering in place as well

- Do we need to have the same hardware & Microsoft Patching on both the machines

- Do we need to have same level of gateway release on the machines.

    Hi ambarishkunte ,

     

    I will answer your questions in the order you asked:

    You do NOT need to have windows clustering.  The Gateway is it's own clustering tool.

    You do NOT need to have the same Windows version of software on the server(s)

    YES, you need to keep the gateway software updated to the same release.  You will experience "odd" issues if you do not.  I recommend updating them all the same time when you do an update.
