Hi to all,
I've a question. At the moment, in Fabric, is possible to have two different type of Dataflows: the originale PBI Dataflows and the new Fabric Dataflows Gen2.
Is there any "EoL" expected for the first? And the second question is this: if it's expected, than I guess that a company that has got only Power BI Professional or Power BI Premium per User licenses would NOT be able to create Dataflows anymore, since Dataflows Gen2 are Fabric artefacts, and they need a Fabric license, right?

Hi @danieletiles ,
As of the last update, Microsoft has not formally announced the End of Life (EoL) for the first generation of Power BI dataflows (Gen1).Microsoft typically provides sufficient notice and guidance prior to phasing out any service to ensure that customers have sufficient time to plan and transition.
Dataflows Gen2 requires fabric capacity or fabric trial capacity.

Hi @Anonymous and @Greg_Deckler ,
it seems that on FabConf 2025 has been announced an easy way to move from DF Gen1 to DF Gen2, my simply doing "Save As". I've received these links about the migration scenarios and so on:
Migrate from Dataflow Gen1 to Dataflow Gen2 - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Still, I don't see an EOL for DF Gen1, but if there are an increasing number of articles and announcements... any news or link to that?
@danieletiles I'm not aware of any EOL for Dataflows Gen1
