Font Swis721 BT not embedded
Today in a call with Microsoft, they confirmed that custom fonts are not supported in the Power BI service.
Quote: "This is a limitation in Power Bi Service (Custom fonts are not supported in the Power BI service).
This feature will be releasing in future release. As of now there is no ETA on this. "
Thanks foodd for your quick reply.
1. I checked out the brower fonts and changed them to Swis721 BT, but that did not change the behaviour.
2. No, from the Service and Desktop, the font is not substituted. But when export the paginated report from Desktop, the PDF creaton task also replaces Swis721 BT with Microsoft Sans Serif.
Regarding your note about the 3rd party renderer, as far as I know Power BI Desktop does not provide an option to select a 3party PDF renderer for exporting reports to PDF. The export functionality is built into the application. Am I wrong here?
How can I make sure that Acrobat Reader is the 3party PDF renderer?

Share your PBIX, and Custom Theme file, if you would like a second set of eyes on this. A dependancy would be that your target font (Swis721 BT ) needs to be installed on every machine that the file is opened,
else a fallback font would be used.
