Filter in Power BI Service is Case Sensitive

Filter(Basic Filtering) in Power BI Service is Case Sensitive whereas the filter for the same report in Power BI Desktop is Case Insensitive. Any idea as to why is this happening? And how to make the...

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    I am not quite positive that this is a Service versus Desktop thing as much as a DAX versus M thing. Power Query is case sensitive but DAX is not.

    Here is an article by Marco Russo and Alberto Ferrari about this, and to quote him "...if you use Power BI Desktop, the Power BI service, or Azure Analysis Services, you have no choice: the instances all use case-insensitive collation."
