Hi Folks,
I have one date filter that doesn't seem to be wanting to apply on the view my End User sees in his service version of the dashboard I've been making. I've tried several solutions at this point, but what it boils down to is:
I have a date range filter on a table in Desktop. I upload and deploy.
When he logs into service, he sees the old date range that was there before, regardless of what changes I made in desktop and overwrote in service.
I tried having him click the "reset visuals to default" button; he did and that worked once, but upon reloading the old date filter on his end was back.
I tried selecting "Don't allow end user to save filters on this file in the Power BI service" on the report settings. When next he loaded in service, there were no filters on that visual whatsoever and the date range extended back to 1986 (rather than showing 2024, as I had uploaded).
Has anyone encountered something like this? I've tried replacing the visual on the filter as well, but nothing seems to be sticking.
Hi @crost
Please check,
1. If the user already saved the report as a Bookmark or not
2. Clear browser catch & history. Try to open report in another browser and check
3. In the power bi service top right corner, there are reset button. Please click and check
4. Please create a bookmark for the default state of the report provide one Button and assign the bookmark of the action of the button. Means if user click on this button, report will show always default state as you save the bookmark.
