Hi @RamzanAnjum ,

i do not think that you can repoint the query in the Service.  It is fairly easy in the Desktop though.  In the Desktop, you go to the Data Source Settings and you select the current SharePoint link and select "change source".  And, then put in your new one.

Hi @v-prasare , No, I still didn't get the solution.
I want to get the filepath withinPower BI Service and want to update to a different location.
@nilendraFabric Do you know , how can I get filepath within Power BI Service?

Hi @phlegmatic2 ,

Are you wanting to publish it to a different workspace?  If you want to move the Semantic Model and the report you have to publish it to a new workspace from your Power BI Desktop.

If you have permissions and are wanting to make a COPY of the report you can select "save a copy" of the report and save it to a different location.  Again, permissions to do this and permissions to use semantic models across workspaces would be required as well.

Thanks @collinq for your reply.
No, I am not publishing it to a new workspace.
I have a PBIX file, uploaded from a SharePoint Site to Power BI Service directly.
The source Sharepoint site is now changing and we have to move the PBIX file to a new sharepoint site. I want to change the file path within Power BI Service from old Sharepoint location to new location without breaking anything within Power BI Service.

Hello @RamzanAnjum

Locate the PBIX file in the document library.

Click on the ellipsis (…) next to the file name, or select the file and click on “Details.”
In the Details pane, scroll down to find the “Path” section.
Use the “Copy Direct Link” button to copy the file’s URL.

Hope this helps

Thanks
