Feature comparison between Pro and Premiun: Model Size and Max Storage.
HI,
I need some help to better understand a couple of features mentioned in this comparison site.
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-au/pricing/
I am trying to understand Model Size and Max Storage: Under Pro it says 1GB Model size and Max Storage of 10GB/user.
What does this mean? If i have a pro license, a single model on my account cannot exceed 1 Gb? and max storage of 10 GB indicate that the combined size of all my models cannot exceed 10 GB?
Please can anyone clarify.
Hi,
Model size is nothing but the RAM size and one Power BI dataset size should be less than that defind size when it comes to memory. Dataset will come to memory when you access the dataset through report or during the refresh.
Storage is nothing but overall size of the Power BI datasets (one or multiple) stored in the workspace. All of them will not be in memory at a time.
Thanks
Hari

Thanks Hariharan_R
Does this mean each Pro user gets 1 GB Memory for the model ?

Hi
Yes, Pro user has a limitation on uploading the PBIX file to service which is 1 GB that is the model size they are referring.
Thanks
Hari
