Failed to update data source credentials for quickbooks online

I get this message "Failed to update data source credentials: We're sorry, an error occurred during" even when I manually enter credentionals for my quickbooks account. I am able to connect from my power bi desktop to quickbooks online but I have trouble to set up scheduled refresh from power bi service. Can anybody help?

Hi @markgoldberg

Here are some steps and considerations that might help you resolve this issue:

  1. Check Credentials in Power BI Service: Ensure that the credentials used in the Power BI service match those used in Power BI Desktop. Sometimes, credentials can expire or may not have the necessary permissions.

  2. OAuth2 Authentication: QuickBooks Online uses OAuth2 for authentication. When setting up your data source in the Power BI service, ensure that you are selecting the OAuth2 option and that the authentication process completes successfully. This often requires logging into your QuickBooks account to authorize the Power BI service.
