Failed to update data source credentials - The specified path does not exist

Hey community!

I recently bumped into an issue when I can connect to an ADLS Gen 2 container and refresh a report from the Power BI desktop. However, when I publsih a report to the service, I cannot authenticate with the data source. It returns an error the specified path does not exist. See below.

The problem is, (in the service) the report points to a "Production" sub-folder, while the folder name is "production" (it was renamed a while ago). I tried to delete the report and the dataset from the service and cleared all permissions in the data source settings (in the desktop). However, the problem persists.

Do you know why the service keeps remembering the old folder name? How can I overcome this problem?

Cheers,

Anton

Hi. Oh, that's weird. The way it's still there. Make sure the path is ok besides de lower and upper case. You can also delete the source from service like you are probably doing at PowerBi Desktop. Go to "Manage connections and gateway". Chango to "Connections" and look for the source. Then remove it.

If you can't see any of that you might need to ask the Administrator to do it for you.

I hope that helps,
